This newly updated hybrid course, "Demystifying the Pelvis," offers a flexible and comprehensive learning experience. Designed and taught by Jerry Hesch, DPT, MHS, PT, this course combines the convenience of online learning with the critical hands-on skills practice essential for mastering pelvic therapy.

The didactic portion of this course is delivered online, allowing you to learn the foundational knowledge at your own pace, anytime, anywhere. This online component covers the anatomy, biomechanics, and research related to pelvic dysfunction. Following the online modules, you will attend an intensive, full-day Saturday lab session. This in-person lab day focuses on the practical application of the online material, providing extensive hands-on practice with palpation, spring testing, and treatment techniques for various pelvic dysfunctions.

This hybrid format maximizes your learning efficiency, allowing you to absorb the theoretical content online and then dedicate the in-person session to mastering the practical skills under the direct guidance of Dr. Jerry Hesch.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this hybrid course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the anatomy and joint mechanics of the pelvis.

  • Summarize current research and outcome studies related to pelvic dysfunction.

  • Perform palpation and spring testing of the pelvis with accuracy.

  • Apply effective treatment techniques for both hypomobility and hypermobility of the pelvic joints.

  • Identify common patterns of pelvic dysfunction.

  • Instruct patients in appropriate exercises and self-care strategies for pelvic health.

Jerry Hesch, DPT, MHS, PT

For over 35 years, Dr. Jerry Hesch, DPT, MHS, PT of the Hesch Institute has treated individuals suffering from acute & chronic pain from hypomobility and hypermobility/instability from sacroiliac joint dysfunction, and dysfunction in joints throughout the body. Over the course of his career, Dr. Jerry Hesch, DPT, MHS, PT has developed a whole body approach to evaluation and treatment of connective tissues and joint dysfunction known as the Hesch Method. 
The goal of the Hesch Method is to provide an alternative to ineffective long-term treatment commonly referred to as the "treatment roller coaster."

Cancellations received at least five (5) business days before the event are refundable, less a $50.00 administrative charge per registrant. There will be no refund for cancellations received later. Please note: If you register and do not attend, you are still responsible for full payment. The expense of continuing education, when taken to maintain and improve professional skills, may be tax deductible. Please contact your accountant for complete details. For courses cancelled by Professional Seminars Ltd. participants have the option to attend a rescheduled date or receive a full refund of the registration cost.
