Garden City, NY

About the Course..

Athletes at all levels of competition utilize performance enhancement training to optimize their physical abilities on the field of competition. Even the strongest, most powerful, and fastest athletes in the world utilize specific training principles and exercises to achieve their ideal athletic performance. Often time an athlete may sustain an injury resulting in the need for physical rehabilitation as part of a process required for the athlete’s optimal return to play. Subsequently a significant component of physical rehabilitation is exercise prescription, thus couldn’t these same performance enhancement training principles and exercises be utilized in the clinical setting?  This seminar will provide the attendee with a clinical spectrum from the healing continuum to the development of the physical qualities, modified where necessary, for the lower extremity rehabilitation athlete’s optimal return to play. A review of exercise program design will also be presented to allow the attendee to prescribe a progressive and appropriate rehabilitation and/or training program for the athlete.
