ABOUT THE EVENT:
We are excited to announce that Dr. Benedict Nwachukwu M.D., MBA of Hospital for Special Surgery will be lecturing to the staff of Professional Physical Therapy on the topic of hip injuries in athletes.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Understand common causes of hip pain and injuries in athletes
- Understand the typical presentations for these conditions
- Understand diagnostic modalities for athletes presenting with hip pain
- Develop a treatment algorithm for hip pain
SPEAKER BIOS:
Dr. Benedict Nwachukwu, M.D., MBA is an orthopedic surgeon and specialist in hip, knee and shoulder surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City. He is the Co-Director of Clinical Research for the Sports Medicine Institute at HSS and a Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Nwachukwu completed his undergraduate work at Columbia University and obtained both his MD and MBA from Harvard. His orthopedic surgery residency was completed at HSS followed by sports medicine fellowship training at the world-renowned Rush University.
