SPEAKER BIO:

From a young age, Dr. Lauren Borowski exhibited a strong interest in science, coupled with a profound passion for the performing arts, particularly dance. During her freshman year at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, she discovered a unique opportunity to merge these two interests through the field of sports medicine.
As a primary care sports medicine specialist, she provides care for individuals with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, serving both athletes and non-athletes of all ages and skill levels at NYU Langone’s Sports Medicine Center.
With a background in primary care family medicine, she approaches patient care by viewing individuals as more than just their injuries, such as a swollen knee or a fractured finger. Dr. Borowski emphasizes the importance of a holistic perspective, allowing her to identify any medical or social issues that may be present alongside her patients' injuries. She strives to develop treatment plans that address the comprehensive needs of each patient, with the ultimate goal of keeping them active, promoting healthy lifestyles, and facilitating their return to the activities they love.
In 2020, she was appointed as the head team physician for the USA Men’s Ski Jumping Team. Additionally, she holds the position of medical director for the Convent of the Sacred Heart and the athletics departments at Baruch College and Yeshiva University.
