About the Course..
This one day course introduces an eclectic approach to evaluation and treatment of the cervical and upper thoracic spine. Students will be able to identify and classify common pathologies and utilize various strategies to treat these pathologies effectively. The course will consist of classroom training and ample hands-on learning opportunities. Upon completion of this course, students will be familiar with treating patients using neurological techniques joint mobilization, soft tissue, and exercise-based treatment for the cervical and upper thoracic spine.

Featuring Robert Shapiro MA, PT, COMT, NKT, SFMA
Robert Shapiro graduated summa cum laude from Touro College with a Masters in Physical Therapy. Mr. Shapiro specializes in correcting muscle imbalances, postural alignment, and body mechanics to facilitate full recovery using muscle energy techniques, spinal mobilization/manipulation, prescriptive exercises, strain-counter-strain, myofascial release, Primal Reflex Release Technique (PRRT), the Hesch Method, and Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT). Mr. Shapiro was an adjunct professor at Touro College and New York Institute of Technology.
