Dr. Paul Tomaszewski
Sports Med/Knee and Shoulder Surgeon
Biography:
A board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist, Dr. Tomaszewski graduated from Boston College with a degree in biochemistry. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatments for activity and sports related injuries in the knee, shoulder and elbow. Dr. Tomaszewski attended Georgetown University School of Medicine and graduated cum laude with a medical degree as well as a master’s degree in physiology and biophysics. Dr. Tomaszewski completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, followed by additional fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopy at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Tomaszewski has sports team coverage experience at the high school, collegiate and professional levels, including the Baltimore Ravens, Washington Wizards, Towson University and Loyola University. On the academic front, Dr. Tomaszewski is a member of Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA). He also is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also a 2023 Castle Connolly Top Doctor.
Dr. Megan Gleason
Sports Med Specialist/Knee and shoulder Surgeon
Biography:
Dr. Gleason is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. Her practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of activity and sports-related injuries in the knee, shoulder and elbow. Dr. Gleason graduated from Dartmouth College with a bachelor’s degree in biophysical chemistry. She received her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Gleason completed her orthopedic surgery residency followed by additional fellowship training in sports medicine at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Gleason has covered several area sports teams, including Southern Connecticut State University, Albertus Magnus College Men’s Ice Hockey, and many local high schools. Dr. Gleason is a member of American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Ruth Jackson Orthopedic Society. She is also a 2023 Castle Connolly Top Doctor.
Dr. Andrew Pao
Foot and Ankle Surgeon
Biography:
Dr. Andrew Pao is a fellowship-trained board-certified orthopedic surgeon whose practice focuses on the operative and non-operative care of a variety of foot and ankle conditions. His expertise includes treatment for arthritis of the foot and ankle; sports and cartilage injuries; trauma and fracture management of the lower extremity; bunions and forefoot pain; ankle arthroscopy; adolescent foot and ankle conditions; deformity correction; and reconstruction / revision surgery of the foot and ankle.
Dr. Pao earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed his residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at Atlanta Medical Center. During this time, he served as assistant team physician for the Georgia Tech baseball team. He completed fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, under the leadership of Dr. James Brodsky, who is internationally recognized as a leader in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Pao holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, where he graduated with honors.
Dr. Pao is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS). His research has been published in multiple orthopedic journals, including Foot and Ankle International and Orthopedic Clinics of North America. He has also presented his research on total ankle replacement at the AOFAS Annual Meeting, the premier international conference of foot and ankle surgeons. He is currently a member of the AOFAS Public Education Committee, which works to develop patient education information for distribution through the FootCareMD website and other communication channels. As part of the committee, Dr. Pao authors multiple articles that educate the public on various topics relating to the foot & ankle. He is also a 2023 Castle Connolly Top Doctor.
Dr. Frank J. Aversano
Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon
Biography:
Frank J. Aversano, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric and adult hand and upper extremity conditions. Dr. Aversano’s expertise includes treatment of arthritis of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder including joint replacement; fractures and sports injuries of the hand and upper extremity; tendon and ligament injuries including rotator cuff or biceps tears; masses of the hand and upper extremity including ganglion cysts; nerve compression syndromes including carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel syndrome; Dupuytren’s contracture; trigger finger; and arthroscopic treatment of wrist, elbow, and shoulder disorders.
Dr. Aversano holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and physics from Loyola University in Baltimore. Dr. Aversano earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Aversano then completed fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Indiana Hand and Shoulder Center in Indianapolis.
