SPEAKER BIO:

William B. Walsh, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult hip and knee reconstruction at Northwell Health. He has expertise in various advanced surgical techniques, including:

• Direct anterior hip replacement
• Robotic joint replacement surgery
• Partial and total knee replacement
• Revision surgery for infected or failed joint replacements
• Management of periprosthetic fractures

Dr. Walsh's goal is to increase patient function, decrease pain, and improve quality of life through minimally invasive approaches and same-day surgeries when possible. He offers comprehensive nonoperative and operative treatment options for degenerative hip and knee conditions.Dr. Walsh sees patients at multiple Northwell Health locations across Long Island, including Woodbury, Great Neck, and Bellmore. He is highly experienced and utilizes the latest orthopedic advances, such as more durable implants and enhanced pain control methods, to facilitate faster recovery for his patients.

Qualifications and Training 

Dr. Walsh completed advanced fellowship training in adult hip and knee reconstruction after earning his medical degree. He is well-versed in the entire scope of primary and revision joint reconstruction procedures for the hip and knee joints.
