We are excited to announce that Dr Dan Shilo  of Mount Sinai will be presenting on Genicular Artery Embolization for Knee Osteoarthritis.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1. The participant will be able to demonstrate understanding of the overall treatment algorithm for knee osteoarthritis

2. The participant should be able to identify the role of Genicular Artery Embolization within this treatment paradigm

3. The participant should be able to describe how Genicular Artery Embolization is performed

4. The participant should be able to identify the pros & cons of different treatment options for knee osteoarthritis and the risk, benefits, and alternatives to Genicular Artery Embolization.

SPEAKER BIO:

Dan Shilo, MD is an Assistant Professor of Radiology in the Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Mount Sinai Hospital. After receiving a BS in Biology and Biomedical Engineering at Tufts University he attended medical school at New York University. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at NYU, after which he finished residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Northwell SIUH, he went on to complete a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.

Dr. Shilo currently serves as the Director of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Mount Sinai West. His clinical interests include portal hypertension, interventional oncology, uterine fibroid embolization, complex venous disease including advanced IVC filter retrieval, as well as pulmonary embolism management.
